Katie Suchniak MSW, LCSW
Hi, I’m Katie! I’m a therapist in Ambler, PA.
I have been an advocate all my life. My passion for helping others improve their lives has brought me where I am today. I am honored to be in this role because I truly love what I do. I approach my life the same way I do therapy: with openness and curiosity, to create change through insight and compassion. Human beings are meaning makers. It is my role to help you explore, create and find meaning in your life. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship because I have been in both roles. You will find my therapeutic approach to be very down to earth and collaborative.
My qualifications and work experience (just in case you are interested): I received my bachelor’s degree of Social Work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and my master’s degree of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I began my career as a medical/psychiatric social worker in an urban hospital environment. During that time, I realized that I could create a more lasting impact on society by working with individuals long-term, instead of the short-term care I was able to provide in the hospital setting. The discovery of my true calling as a therapist was enlightening, and I began providing therapy services in Center City Philadelphia — specializing in work with health care professionals. I later moved outside Philadelphia to the Montgomery County region, where I worked as both a therapist and Clinical Supervisor in a non-profit community behavioral health organization.
You’ve made it this far — get to know me better and see how I can help you realize your full potential by scheduling a complimentary phone consultation. I want you to get the best possible assistance, and if we are not a good fit, I will refer you to someone that may better serve you. You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain, so don’t deny yourself!
