Changing is one of the most complicated things to do. Yet, everything is always changing. Figuring out how to embrace this paradox is an important element of life and healing. Behaviors that we hold on to that are no longer serving us, can impact us on a deep level. Often, people resist change due to fear of the unknown and the uncertainty that it brings. Even if the old way is not working for them any longer, sometimes it feels safer to stay in the suffering.

Embracing change takes practice, openness, and trust. An important element of change, especially when it comes to healing, is to have a willingness to look at yourself, your behaviors, your relationships, or whatever is holding you back with a curious and nonjudgmental mindset. Holding space for yourself is also crucial; whether that be taking time to meditate daily, going on walks in nature, or taking time to journal to process your thoughts.
